convert-pgn software package provides chess book format converter, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install convert-pgn
convert-pgn is installed in your system.
Make ensure the convert-pgn package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep convert-pgn *
You will get with convert-pgn package name, version, architecture and description in a table
